There are a lot of glass studios in France, even though not widely known. A few we have stumbled across and others we will unfortunately have to miss out, as we don’t have time to fit in a visit to all of them.

From Savona we drove in a truck which was heading towards Barcelona and dropped us off in Beziers, so that we could visit Ramona, a friend from our Glass School. Together with Ramona, we went up to Perpignan to see the kiwi harvest and also two glass studios. As all the cars that stopped for us on Monday were on their way towards Toulouse, we gave up the idea of travelling in the other direction and headed to Montauban, a small town near Toulouse. We had initially been on our way to Nancy. Our hosts for the night knew of a Studio in Bruniquel and the next morning drove us the forty Kilometres to the Studio. As the glass maker, Fernando Agostinho was only going to be there in the afternoon and we’d arrived mid-morning, we decided to drive to Cordes, a nearby town and go back later. Unfortunately the Glass Studio in Cordes was only open at the weekends; so we took in the sunny day and the beautiful surroundings and then started to make our way towards Nancy.
