This week went by quickly and we are working again. While Franca enjoyed Skagen with a visitor, I worked with Jonas making drinking glasses with cut bases and coloured rims. I also produced glass droplets and in the evenings or mornings had a chance to try out different things for myself. Today, after a long time, we finally made glass together again; half the day we worked for Jonas and the other half we made our own pieces.

We are slowly getting used to working while seated at the workbench. We actually don’t have a choice because there is only the bench here and not the kind of work space which we are used to. Tomorrow there is another opportunity for us to work on our pieces, before Franca will assist Jonas next week. We’ve not had any problems apart from my typical beginner’s mistake of having looked too closely into the 500°C cooling chamber. I came out with a bit of neatly curled hair and slightly grey eyelashes and eyebrows. A more beautiful sight each evening is the sunset over the sea, which is approximately 500m away and has supplied us on occasion with delicious fish.
